The Portimão mammarathon, which takes place on the 7th of October, from 10:00 am, will be part of the Portugal a Running circuit for the first time. Registration for this test is now open.
The mammarathon will start at the old auction in the Zona Ribeirinha de Portimão, and the event will have two competitions (half marathon with 21 kilometers and a mini marathon with 10 kilometers) and a solidarity walk, with 6 kilometers.
According to the organization, «the initiative maintains its main objectives: to alert the population to the problem of breast cancer, encourage the adoption of an active and healthy lifestyle and raise funds for the Oncological Association of the Algarve.
The marathon is organized by Global Sport, in partnership with Associação Oncológica do Algarve and the Municipality of Portimão.
