Humor and Theater help promote gender equality in Silves

The show seeks, «with a lot of humor, to sensitize the public to the need to build a future with greater equality»

The theater play “Ronaldo's earrings and other stories” will promote gender equality at Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório, in Silves, on 21 September, in two sessions, one for students from Secondary School of Silves, at 15:00, and the another for the general public at 21 pm.

In this show, staged by Alexandre Sampaio, three actors will play 30 characters. «In a good mood, fast and intense, with his whole life running, he addresses everyday situations, exemplary cases, and the irony of prejudices, gender stereotypes, and the regulation of behavior to which we are subject. The show “Os Earrings à Ronaldo” seeks, with a lot of humor, to sensitize the public to the need to build a future with greater equality», describes the Câmara de Silves.

On stage will be actors Alicia Gómez, Joana Costa Saraiva and José Armando. The dramaturgy is by Abel Santos, Alexandre Sampaio, Alicia Gómez, Sofia Borges and the adaptation of cartoons, newspaper news, song lyrics by Miguel Araújo (authorized), specialty books and European reports on the theme of Gender Equality.
