CULA was created with the objective of «congregating and enhancing the growing demonstrations of dissatisfaction of users and population in the region with regard to the railway service, demanding the necessary solutions».

CULA defends the «increase and implementation of investment in the modernization of infrastructure, rolling stock and facilities», the «strengthening of workers from all companies related to the sector, and the «adaptation of schedules to the needs of the population, schedules and complementarity with other means of transport'.

The commission of users calls for the "presence of all those who are against the degradation of services and privatization of this strategic sector in the lives of populations."

The public tribune is part of a series of actions in defense of the public railway service that is being carried out across the country between 20th September and 3rd October.

The Platform for the Defense of the Public Rail Service brings together most of the sector's trade union organizations, the Workers' Commissions of the four main companies and several user organizations.
