Comandante Cardoso de Morais is the new Captain of Porto and Local Commander of the Maritime Police of Olhão

Commander Nunes Ferreira, who leaves office, was decorated

Commander André Cardoso de Morais is the new Captain of Porto and Local Commander of the Maritime Police of Olhão, replacing Commander Rui Nunes Ferreira in the positions. The swearing-in took place on the morning of Monday, September 10th.

This ceremony, which took place in the pavilion attached to the Salva Vidas Station in Olhão, was presided over by the Director General of the Maritime Authority and General Commander of the Maritime Police, Vice Admiral Luís Sousa Pereira, and was attended by representatives of the Municipal Councils of Olhão and Faro, as well as dozens of entities with whom this Captaincy relates.

In this ceremony, the outgoing Captain of Porto, Commander Rui Nunes Ferreira, was awarded the Distinguished Service Military Medal – Silver Degree, for the services rendered during his commission.
