Carlos Gouveia Martins, president of JSD/Algarve, will, throughout the month of September, meet with the 16 presidents of the PSD and JSD councils in the region.
At a time when the JSD/Algarve district congress table awaits the scheduling and national publication of the JSD/Algarve District Congress, where this leadership cycle of more than four years will close, the Portimonian leader understands that «it is time for close in beauty what was and is very beautiful: having the honor of leading the JSD in my region».
For Carlos Gouveia Martins, «there are several ways to be in civic life, but I always chose to show my face and not hide. I know that soon I will completely finish this chapter of my political life and, as always, I want to go from county to county to present everything we stand for and innovate so that there is a continuation of what we have done well and, naturally, with an open heart to welcome constructively criticisms that may arise. It didn't feel good to leave without listening to everyone».
It is symbolically, says the leader of JSD Algarve, that «I will start where this happy period began, in a municipality that is very important to me, which is Monchique».
It was in Monchique that Carlos Gouveia Martins assumed the presidency of JSD/Algarve.
About the date of "farewell", he states that "in the Algarve we have always been serious and responsible, we delivered all the documentation complying with the statutes and other regulations of the JSD to schedule the District Congress where I will say goodbye and I wait serenely for the indication of the National Political Commission of the JSD'.
