31 restaurants participate in the gastronomic event

The 3rd Octopus Week takes place from the 7th to the 16th of September, in Quarteira, and there will be no shortage of gastronomic proposals.

This year, 31 restaurants make known the gastronomic versatility of octopus, in proposals that alternate between traditional Portuguese and international cuisine.

In addition to a recipe competition open to the population, the octopus week's program includes the plastic arts exhibition “From the Screen to the World”, created by the students of Associação Akredita em Ti and which will be installed on the Passeio da Marina de Vilamoura, in addition to the organization of two showcookings, one in Quarteira and the other in Vilamoura, which publicize the various ways of making and tasting octopus.

Another action included in the program is the Octopus Seminar, which will take place in the auditorium of the Municipal Center of Quarteira on 14 September and promotes debate on the fisheries sector and ongoing research projects.
