The fire continues to dominate, in the Serra de Monchique, despite the more than 1000 operatives that are attacking the flames. Around the village the situation seems to be calmer, but there are many destroyed houses in the Monchique perimeter.

According to the Civil Protection website, while waiting for the air to return to action with the dawn of day, the fire is currently being fought by 1064 workers, supported by 311 vehicles, including around four dozen of them. track machines, which have been around all night trying to cut their way into the flames.

Tonight, with the fire surrounding the town, no one has paid an eye to Monchique and there were many inhabitants who followed the situation from the viewpoint of S. Sebastião.

To what Sul Informação he found out with local residents, at the moment there are no flames around the town, just a lot of smoke. But there is still an active front behind the convent, and around the town, this is the only area that needs to burn.

Further south, the fire continued to rage throughout the night, having entered both Silves and Portimão. There are news of flames near Parque da Mina and in Rasmalho.
