Portimonense had two great opportunities in the 1st half and missed a penalty in the 2nd

Portimonense started losing in the 2st League championship, after a game in which they were even the team that attacked the most and shot on goal, had a penalty, but ended up with zero goals. The Algarve, playing at home, were defeated 0-XNUMX by Boavista, in a game marked by the lack of effectiveness of the Portimão team.

The first part was, moreover, from the home team. Boavista could not fit any shot with the goal, unlike the hosts, who saw the checkered center Raphael Silva cutting two balls over the goal line, when the home fans were getting ready to celebrate.

The game went to half-time tied at zero, but with the feeling that Portimonense could already have an advantage. And from the stands, in addition to supporting the home team, messages of strength came to the population of Monchique, affected by a huge fire that raged for a week.

Who scored, and soon to open the second half, was Boavista. And a great goal. On minute 48, David Simão received the ball outside the area, took the measurements on Ricardo Ferreira's goal and fired an authentic missile, to the angle of the goal, with no chance of defense for the goalkeeper of the Algarve.

In advantage, the visitors tried to put Ice in the game, but Portimonense had not given up on reaching a draw. And he had a sovereign opportunity to achieve it. At 69, the referee signaled a penalty for Rochinha's foul on Wellington. Called to convert, captain Tabata hit the post, to the despair of the Portimonense fans.

The Algarve team wanted to score, but the constant interruptions in the game didn't help. The 90th minute arrived and Portimonense tried everything to reach, at least, a draw. But it was Boavista that managed to extend the advantage, by André Claro, in the 93rd minute, in a quick counterattack.

The end of the game came a short time later and left Portimonense and their new coach, António Folha, with reasons to reflect, before the next match of the I League.
