CCV Lagos invites you to see the rain of stars at the Fortaleza do Beliche

The chosen location is farther away from urban agglomerations and therefore has better dark conditions to see the stars

The Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos will be at Forte do Beliche, in Sagres, next Sunday, the 12th, from 21 pm, for another astronomical observation as part of the Ciência Viva no Verão en Rede 00 program.

This will be a special session as it coincides with the Perseid stars shower. “Hence the choice of a place further away from urban agglomerations, where the dark conditions are the most suitable for the observation of shooting stars”, explains CCV Lagos.

The night, however, "will not only be stars and we will also take advantage of this summer's unique opportunity to observe the planets Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, as well as other stars."

From 21 pm onwards, adds CCV Lagos, «we are counting on you for an evening that promises to be magical for those who like to look at the sky!»

The night can be cool so it is recommended to bring a warm coat so that everyone stays comfortable during the session.
