Loulé will join the Literacy and Literacy Week and promote an arts and crafts exhibition, knowledge sharing, exhibition of works, animation and music, taking place on September 8, between 10:00 and 13:00, at Cerca of the Espírito Santo Convent.
The date chosen is the one on which the International Literacy Day is celebrated, which sets the tone for the national adult education and training initiative that Loulé is associated with, which will take place between the 1st and the 8th of September.
The Literacy and Literacy Week is the result of a partnership between ANMP – National Association of Portuguese Municipalities and APEFA – Portuguese Association for Adult Education and Training – Apprenticeships and aims to «contribute to awareness and social mobilization for the issue of literacy and of illiteracy in Portugal».
