The team from the Grupo de Amigos do Chinicato, from Lagos, made up of Humberto Coelho, Tiago Fernandes and Paulo Afonso, won the Portuguese Petanque Cup, in the triplet category, which took place this weekend, 7th and 8th of July, in Ourém (Santarém).

The winners are registered with the Petanca Association of the Barlavento Algarvio and Sudoeste Alentejano.

In second place for men was the triplet Mostafa Hamri, Edgar Antunes and Ricardo Sousa, from Clube de Petanca S. Pedro do Estoril, registered with the Associação de Petanca da Zona Centro.

In females, the winning duo was Filipa Antunes, from Associação Amigos da Petanca de Muge, and Sílvia Ramos, from Clube de Campismo de Lisboa, belonging to the Associação de Petanca da Zona Centro.

Maria Rosário Correia and Natércia Cruz, in doublet, from Clube Desportivo e Cultural da Nave, in Monchique, were in second place.

For the Cidade de Ourém Cup, the male winners were Orlando Melgada, Luís Cunha and Manuel Machacaz, in triplet, from the Real Clube de Petanca de Alpiarça, from the Associação de Petanca da Zona Centro.

For the same competition, in women, the winning team was the Centro Recreativo e Cultural de Briteiros, of the Associação de Petanca da Zona Norte, formed by the duo Sylvie Leite and Emília Gonçalves.

A total of 342 athletes participated in the competitions, representing 119 teams and 47 clubs between men and women.
