A cyclist died this Sunday morning, 22 July, after being hit by a car on the road leading to the Boliqueime quarry.
Source of the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) of Faro told the Sul Informação that the accident happened at 8:45.
The man, of Portuguese nationality, was 66 years old. According to witnesses, the car that hit the cyclist fled after the accident.
There were 12 operators and six vehicles from INEM and GNR at the site.
