The Left Block's Olhão nucleus will affirm its “Arest!” in a meeting of young people that will take place on July 14, in the Auditorium of Praceta de Agadir, in Olhão, where “themes dedicated to the younger layers of the party militancy” will be discussed.
According to BE, this meeting intends to be a space «that seeks to discuss, draw attention to and find solutions to the problems that affect the people of the Algarve», where «every opinion counts».
On the table will be «LGBTQ+ rights – “What has already been done and what remains to be done?” -, the university fees – “Why fees? For what?" – and climate change – “The tragedy of our time?”». The participation in the event is confirmed by representatives of various collectives, including Associação Xis, Panteras Rosa, “Cancela a Propina”, Climáximo, and PALP – Algarve Livre de Petróleo Platform.
“Youth must lead the way towards an ecological, feminist and socialist alternative, so the choice of themes is in line with the creation of a dignified world for all”, illustrate the organizers of the initiative.
Participation is open to everyone, but pre-registration is required, which must be made online.
