“Artisans of the XNUMXst century” are shown at Vila Vita

New program, which ran from February to May, aims to recover the traditional arts of the Algarve

The TASA project will share the results of the “Artisans of the 26st century” program this Thursday, July 17th, at 00 pm, at Vila Vita Parc Resort & Spa, in Porches (Lagoa).

During the event, the process and results of an intervention involving six apprentices, five master craftsmen, several artisans from the TASA network, the Proactivetur team and a prize for innovation in woven fabrics will be presented during the event.

The objective of the “Artisans of the XNUMXst Century” initiative, promoted by the TASA project and which "formed" two artisans, such as the Sul Informação already managed, was the will «to act for the sustainability of ancestral techniques that constitute an important cultural legacy of the Algarve region», says TASA.

This mission "is about creating current solutions that keep them useful and desirable, empowering a new generation of artisans to make this activity a profession, raising awareness of the cultural, environmental and social value of the activity and thus countering the trend towards extinction of the arts and offices».

The program includes the exhibition of studies and prototypes of new products of the TASA project brand, the sharing of the process and results of the training program for new artisans, the presentation of the brand's new communication/packaging line and experiences of interaction between the public and the processes and raw materials.
