The fourth edition of the “Algarve Minibasketball Cup” tournament took place from June 28th to July 1st and brought together 500 athletes, in Faro.
The mini-basketball event, organized by the Football Club “Os Bonjoanenses” Faro, together with the club's mini-basketball department, whose technical head is coach Nuno Martins, counted, in this edition, with the participation of 40 teams representing various areas of mainland Portugal, Madeira and Andalusia (Spain), totaling 500 athletes in the Mini 8, Mini 10 and Mini 12 classes of both sexes.
According to the Chamber of Faro, this is «a tournament that, from year to year, shows proof of healthy growth and where socializing and fair play were once again underlying the principles and values associated with the practice of sport».
