Mariza, C4 Pedro and Carolina Deslandes are confirmed names for Fatacil – Lagoa's Handicraft, Tourism, Agriculture, Commerce and Industry Fair, which takes place from August 17th to 26th, in the Municipal Park of Fairs and Exhibitions in that city.

In 2018, the motto Lagoa – Educating City – will highlight education at Fatacil. Over the 10 days of the event, the public will be able to deepen their contact with the theme.

Algarve wines and regional cuisine, with sausages, fig jams or medronho brandy, will also be in evidence at the event, as will the “7 Maravilhas à Mesa” program, in which Lagoa participates.

Scattered throughout the venue, around 700 exhibitors publicize their products.

«Connoisseurs of Portuguese handicrafts, and the Algarve in particular, have a very varied exhibition here. From weaving items to copper and wrought iron, including lace, objects in wood, pottery and ceramics, pieces in cork, wicker and basketwork, or the typically Algarve dolls by Martim Longo and Querença», says the Lagoon local authority.

The event is also “the ideal opportunity to discover what they have to offer and how different entities such as municipalities, schools, social solidarity institutions, central and regional administration bodies, communities and tourism regions work”.

Fatacil has been held annually for 10 days in August at the Parque de Feiras e Exposições de Lagoa (Algarve) since 1980.
