Popular marches from Quarteira, Bordeira, Alcântara and Penha de França (Lisbon) parade this Sunday, July 1st, at the Estádio de São Luís, in Faro. 

This initiative is part of the Popular Festivals of São Pedro that the União das Freguesias de Faro will take place from the 28th to the 30th of June, at Largo de São Pedro.

The event «of a popular character has the costumes of the traditional Arraial de Santos Populares, with sardines, snacks and lots of entertainment».

Admission is free and the initiative takes place between 18:00 and 24:00. As for the musical entertainment, on the first day (São Pedro's Eve), there will be a performance by the band Nestor e Nuno, with the performance of the Marcha Popular da Bordeira at the end of the night.

On Friday, the 29th, it is singer Fábio Lagarto's turn to brighten up the party, with the performance of Popular Marches da Alegria do Patacão and Acaso at the end of the night.

On Saturday, the duo Rui and Miguel will take the stage and there will also be a performance by the Folklore Ranch of the Association of Retired and Pensioners (ARPI) of Faro.

Everything ends on Sunday, with the show at the Estádio de São Luís.
