From this Wednesday, June 13, Praça da República, in Portimão, will host the “Football Park Alameda”, a venue where all the World Cup matches will be broadcast on an LED screen wall giant with sound. 

Until July 15th, this space, located right in the center of Portimão, will be “named” Futebol Park – Portimão 2018 and the traditional Portuguese sidewalk will be replaced by an artificial lawn, where terraces and spaces for food and drink will be placed, providing, also, musical entertainment in the late afternoon by resident DJs.

As the football party goes beyond the “four lines”, there is a lot of entertainment in this space that also brings together restaurants, bars, children's entertainment and games, among other activities for the whole family with inflatables. Admission is free.

The Portuguese team will debut at the World Cup against Spain, this Friday, at 19 pm, in Sochi, in the first game of Group B, followed by challenges with Morocco, on June 00, at 20 pm, in Moscow, and Iran, by Carlos Queiroz, on the 13th, at 00 pm, in Saransk.

«This event will make the city center vibrate, a city facing the future where you want to live in its public spaces», says the Câmara de Portimão.

"We want our residents and those who visit us to be able to be, live, have fun and walk around the Alameda, also making this space a meeting point and enjoyment of this noble area of ​​the city and take the opportunity to learn about the offer of local businesses." adds.

Futebol Park Alameda is organized by the Municipality of Portimão, has the support of the Parish Council of Portimão and is highly sponsored by the Portuguese Football Federation and Sagres.
