The final sports party of the “Sénior Ativo” project takes place this Wednesday, June 27, at Jardim da Alameda and at the Municipal Library of Faro.
Starting at 09:00 am, the event aims to mark the end of the season of sporting activities promoted by the Municipality of Faro and boost the project's next year.
Participants will be able, during the initiative, to obtain information about the services they can use, as a way to make them more active physically and intellectually.
In this initiative, there will be lectures, health screenings or the possibility of using the geriatric park and carrying out activities such as taichi, gymnastics, mini golf and dances.
In addition to taking advantage of these actions, participants can also participate in a convivial lunch, offered by the Municipality.
In 2017, the Senior Party had around 300 participants, «hoping this year to exceed expectations and provide a special day for all participants of the Senior Active project», says the Chamber of Faro.
