Children from São Brás de Alportel are being invited to start their summer vacation “No en Leio das Histórias”, an initiative that will take place on the 19th and 20th of June, in the Carrera Viegas garden, from 9:30 am to 16:00 pm.
This initiative is aimed at children in pre-school and the 1st cycle of basic education and aims to "promote a script of activities to promote reading and provide the youngsters with contact with these special adventure companions: books!" the Chamber of São Brás de Alportel.
To achieve this goal, the Carrera Viegas garden «will be equipped with various thematic corners where young participants will be able to listen to stories, order and exchange books and socialize with characters from children's stories, presented by the project “Fora da Caixa”».
Participants will receive special “passports” that “will be filled with threads that will tangle as they complete each activity”.
The VATe – Let's take the theater educational project, by ACTA – The Algarve Theater Company, will be present in this initiative, which is organized by the City Council of São Brás de Alportel, through the Dr. Estanco Louro Municipal Library, in partnership with the José Belchior Viegas School Group and the county's Library Network.
