The Portuguese gymnast Laura Sales finished in 21st place the second day of qualifying in the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup, which ends this Sunday at Portimão Arena. The gymnast had a score of 12,050 on Tape and 11,500 on Maces.

More secure, Margarida Ferreira had a better performance, having registered a score of 13,300 in Maces and 12,750 in Fita. The gymnast finished the race in 23rd place.

Leading the competition were, unsurprisingly, Russia and Israel. Mariia Sergeeva and Polina Khonina won gold and bronze medals, respectively.

The silver medal in the individual competition was won by Nicol Zelikman, from Israel, while his teammate Nicol VoronKov finished in 4th position.

In Sets, China won the competition, scoring 36,750 in the total scores for the Five Bows and Two Strings and 3 Balls exercises. Finland and Azerbaijan occupied, respectively, the second and third position on the podium.

At Portimão Arena, the Mexican team surprised in Saturday's exercise, two ropes and three balls, with which they obtained a score of 17,150.

This Sunday, the 13th, the handset finals start at 15 pm at Portimão Arena, with live broadcast on RTP 00. Admission is free.
