The theater play “Changing the Planet's course: 1, 2, 3 Action!”, 360º film screening on a dome, inflatables and popcorn. These are the activities of the Children and Environment Week that Tavira celebrates from the 4th to the 8th of June, at Mercado da Ribeira and Jardim do Coreto.

These celebrations take place within the scope of the World Children's Day (June 1st) and Environment Day (June 5th), with activities taking place in the morning.

About 1200 students from pre-school and 1st cycle of public and private Basic Education participate in a set of activities aimed at raising awareness of environmental issues.

According to the Câmara de Tavira, "by marking these dates, the autarchy intends to promote actions to protect and preserve the environment and alert the population, especially the young, to the need to ensure environmental quality."
