A car was dragged by the water of a stream, hail covered the fields, the streams overflowed, causing damage to the river beach of Alcoutim and also to the villages of Pereiro and Vaqueiros, in that municipality. This was the scenario this Sunday afternoon, due to the bad weather that hit a few minutes across the Algarve.

According to Alcoutim's Municipal Civil Protection, it is advisable to travel carefully on the county's roads, "due to the existence of debris accumulated by the water, the fall of barriers, as well as the existence of water tables".

Throughout the Algarve region, especially in the Sotavento region, throughout the day, there are reports of small floods, caused by rain and hail, but without causing significant damage.

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere had today placed under yellow warning throughout the country, namely the district of Faro, due to the forecast of rain, accompanied by hail and thunderstorm, which happened.
