The GNR seized 46 cigarettes this Friday, May 25, on the border between Portugal and Spain, on the Guadiana International Bridge.
Everything happened in the «during of a road inspection action», with «special incidence in the transport of goods and in the collective transport of passengers».
The military identified three men and one woman, aged between 41 and 48, who were carrying tobacco concealed in suitcases, introduced into national territory illegally.
The value of the seized merchandise amounts to 9400 euros, which translates into more than 7500 euros of Special Consumption Tax not declared to the State.
The GNR drew up “four administrative offense notices for irregular introduction into consumption”. This action was supported by the Territorial Command of Faro.
