About 100 exhibitors and 70 stands will participate in the VI Mostra da Primavera, which takes place from April 27th to 29th, in downtown Tavira. 

The initiative takes place at Rua do Cais, Jardim das Palmeiras and Mercado da Ribeira. The event will have a «diversity of traditional products and handicrafts characteristic of the municipality and the region, combining ancestral knowledge with innovation and design», explains the Câmara de Tavira.

Basketry and contract work, knits and lace, ceramics and tiles, trapology and weaving, leather work, handcrafted jewelery and costume jewelry, as well as decorative candles, stained glass, bamboo and silk, miniatures and wooden toys can be purchased at this event.

To all these products are added brandies, liqueurs, wines, traditional carob beer, olive oil, regional sweets, jams and dried fruits, bread and back, honey and its derivatives, cheeses and sausages, products from organic farming, as well as aromatic and medicinal herbs that reflect the essence and local authenticity.

The VI Mostra da Primavera is an organization of the Municipality of Tavira in collaboration with ASTA – Associação de Artes e Saberes de Tavira, Associação Almadrava and Associação Albacora.

As part of the celebrations for the 44th anniversary of the 25th of April, on the day of the Carnation Revolution, there will be a concert by Paulo de Carvalho, at 21 pm, at the Mercado da Ribeira.
