A Farnáutica – Exhibition of the Sea and Nautical Faro will return to Jardim Manuel Bivar, downtown, between the 4th and 6th of May.
According to the Parish Union of Faro, «in addition to the presence of recreational boats and nautical equipment, there is also the presence of about two dozen institutions and companies related to the sea sector and the existence of a gastronomy tent with small pubs that will essentially serve dishes and snacks related to fish and seafood, such as razor clams, cuttlefish, oysters, clams, clams, crabs, xarem and grilled and fried shrimp”.
According to the municipality, this exhibition, which is now in its 4th edition, «has the objective of promoting activities related to the nautical world and the sea sector. The aim is thus to strengthen the vocation and relationship of the city of Faro with the coast, with the sea and with the Ria Formosa underlining its history, its culture and its identity in which the sea plays a crucial role».
Admission is free, and the Farnáutica will be open between 11:00 and 23:00. Simultaneously with this exhibition, there will be an Algarve regional handicraft fair with the presence of around two dozen artisans.
