Cláudia Amaro, a student at the Conservatory of Music in Olhão, won first prize for “Soloist – 2nd Cycle” at the VIII Isla Cristina International Sound Band Contest, in Spain, which took place last Saturday, April 14th.

Cláudia Amaro, from the official violin course of specialized artistic education, (class of Professor José Miguel Gomes) represented Portugal, more specifically the Conservatory of Music of Olhão, in the competition that brought together conservatories from all over the south of Spain, such as Seville, Huelva , Cristobal de Morales, Val Verde, Trigueros, or Isla Cristina.

The event was organized by the Vicente Sanchís Sanz de Isla Cristina Elemental Conservatory of Music.
