FIMA – Algarve International Music Festival got off to a great start at the Cine-Teatro Louletano. The show “Os Sons do Destino”, which joined the voice of the soprano Elisabete Matos, to the music of the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, directed by conductor Rui Pinheiro, opened the program of the event that will take classical music to nine municipalities in the Algarve over the next three months.

Opening of “The Master Singers of Nuremberg” and Wesendonck Lieder, by Wagner, and Symphony nº4 “Destiny” by Tchaikovsky were the pieces performed by the OCS, which “earned”, at the end, a standing ovation from the audience.
