The public consultation process on the “Santola 1X Exploration Survey”, which serves “to determine whether or not an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) will take place for the hydrocarbon exploration well that the concessionaire ENI-Galp wants to carry out in September off the Costa Vicentina», is taking place until the 14th of April, warned the Algarve Livre de Petróleo Platform (PALP).

The group of anti-oil prospecting activists, which brings together various regional and national environmental associations, went public to appeal to the population's participation and give an account of the various ways in which one can contribute.

Documents in public consultation are available online, on the Participa.pt website, through which you can also leave suggestions (registration required).

PALP also suggests, participation through the website anossavoz.pt, where anyone "may edit and send their opinion". In this case, there is already a predefined text, which you can use or change as you like.

Another way to contribute is to send the suggestion by mail to Rua da Murgueira, 9/9A – Zambujal Ap. 7585. 2610-124 Amadora.
