Conference brings together government officials, experts and heads of entities in the Algarve

The “Inova Algarve 2020” conference, dedicated to business innovation opportunities in Portugal and Europe, starts tomorrow and continues on Friday, the 16th, at NERA's premises in Loulé.

The two-day meeting brings together government officials, specialists, entrepreneurs and heads of entities linked to the sectors of tourism, agri-food, the sea, information and communication technologies, creative and cultural industries, renewable energy and health.

Knowing good national and international innovation practices in these areas of activity is one of the objectives of the conference.

Jorge Botelho, president of AMAL, and Vítor Neto, president of NERA, will open the works, on the 15th, at 10:15 am, at a time that also includes the presence of the secretaries of State for Tourism and Forests and Rural Development. On the second day, closing the conference, at 16 pm, the Secretary of State for Fisheries will be present.

The initiative is also aimed at entrepreneurs, teachers, researchers, students and the general public and is part of the Inova Algarve 2020 project, co-financed by CRESC Algarve 2020, promoted by AMAL and NERA.

A project created with the aim of providing companies in the Algarve with the necessary tools for the development of innovative activities.

The conference is jointly organized by AMAL, the Algarve Intermunicipal Community, and the NERA Associação Empresarial do Algarve.
