The Lagoa City Council, at its meeting on the 27th, approved a vote of regret for the death of António Henrique Ramos Pinto Leite, coach of the badminton teams of ACD CHE Lagoense, where he was the coach of the athlete Pedro Martins, who represented Portugal at the 2016 Olympic Games.

The local authority emphasizes that António Pinto Leite was «a person well known and respected for his dedication to the sport, which contributed to raising the name of Lagoa in the national and international badminton modality».

The Câmara de Lagoa also considers that «the municipality and badminton have lost an inspiring personality and one of their prestigious figures in the community», for which it expresses its condolences to the family, ACD CHE Lagoense and its badminton teams».
