The Argentine group Amores Tangos will take the stage at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, on Saturday, March 17, at 21 pm, for the second edition of the Festa do Tango, especially aimed at countless lovers of this language and artistic imagination.
Considered as “los revolutionary del tango”, “the group has almost a decade of history with two edited albums, “Orquestra de Carnaval” (2011) and “Altamar” (2013), and a DVD, “Amores Tangos Vivo”, awarded as best documentary at the Festival de Cine Marplatense», advances Câmara de Loulé.
In 2016, Amores Tangos was chosen by Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones musicians for an exclusive and private concert in Buenos Aires.
Jose Teixidó on guitar, Nicolás Perrone on bandoneón, Juan Tarsia on piano and vocals, Seba Noya on bass, Salvador Toscano on percussion, Gastón Godoy and Laura Atienza on the dance, and also a guest singer, «promise to masterfully mix Latin music. American music, jazz, cumbia and Balkan sounds with a lot of improvisation», adds the municipality.
The Tango Festival in Loulé also includes a training component with workshops for different levels. On the 16th, there will be a session for beginners, from 18:00 to 19:00 and, for the more experienced, from 19:30 to 20:30.
On Saturday, the 17th, the session for beginners takes place between 14:30 pm and 15:30 pm, and mid-level dancers will be able to recall the dance steps between 16:00 pm and 17:00 pm. Participation in the workshops requires prior registration.
Tickets for the show cost 12 euros or 10 euros for adults over 65 and under 30, with a discount for Cine-Teatro Louletano Friend Card holders.
