Five electric bicycle stations will be implemented in Vale do Lobo (Almancil) during the month of May.
This is the date scheduled for the implementation of the stations, which will be distributed along the cycle path and at the following points: Golf reception, Vale do Lobo square, Vale do Ténis, Dunas Douradas and Pingo Doce in Vale do Lobo.
This system is part of the “Smart Resort by Infralobo” project in the context of sustainable mobility and is part of the fight against climate change.
«It is with great satisfaction and pride that these solutions, implemented in the past, are in line with the Municipal Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change (EMAAC) of the Municipality of Loulé», says the municipal company Infralobo.
Endowing Infralobo's intervention area «with technological infrastructure and sustainable transport systems was one of the main motivations of the current administration with the purpose of encouraging residents, tourists and visitors to use this means of transport over shorter distances, in order to reduce emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere and improve air quality'.
