Two representatives of the SOS Ria Formosa movement, which fights against demolitions in the nuclei of Farofrom the Hangars of Ilha da Culatra, will be received today, Monday, at 15 pm, at the Presidency of the Republic.
The islanders have an audience scheduled with Nuno Sampaio, adviser to the President of the Republic Marcelo Revelo de Sousa on matters related to the environment, to warn about «the concerns and uncertainties of the populations and the problems of the Ria, in the short, medium and long scenarios term", as well as talking about "demolitions and all issues associated with the effective recognition of the nuclei of the Farole Hangares».
This meeting was requested by SOS Ria Formosa «at a time when the demolitions of the historic centers of the Farole da Culatra, already recognized by the Assembly of the Republic as such, in a recommendation to the Government voted by a majority at the end of 2016».
