An event to publicize the “Horizonte 2020” program for companies will take place on February 23, from 10:30 am, at the Commission of Coordination and Regional Development (CCDR) of the Algarve, in Faro.

In the morning, there is an information session about financing opportunities for companies in “Horizon 2020”.

In the afternoon, there will be a workshop to prepare proposals for the “SME Instrument” (dedicated mainly to small and medium-sized companies with applications in preparation).

Over the past four years, Portuguese companies have already raised close to 150 million euros in non-refundable funding under the European Union's framework program for research and innovation – Horizon 2020.

The year 2017 was «important for 25 small and medium-sized Portuguese companies that entered the European innovation elite through the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument», says CCDR Algarve.

"There are already 85 Portuguese companies that, since 2014, have raised more than 18 million funding and have boosted Portugal as one of the most successful countries in accessing this instrument known as the League of Champions of Innovation", he adds.
