The Reis Magos de Ayamonte (Spain) visit Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António, on January 5th, thus marking the commemorations of the Three Kings Day, celebrated the following day.

The initiative is part of the activities of the Eurocity of Guadiana and Christmas celebrations in VRSA and recreates the tradition of Three Kings, a procession that attracts hundreds of people to the streets of Spanish cities and towns.

This activity starts in Castro Marim, with the arrival of the Reis Magos in Vila Real de Santo António at 11:30 am. Through this partnership, the three locations share the culture and traditions that mark the identity of each of the border municipalities.

The visit also includes a procession through the streets of VRSA and Praça Marquês de Pombal, where the Aldeia de Natal is located.

The tour will be accompanied by the VRSA Philharmonic Band and will end with the distribution of sweets and chad for the younger ones.

At 14:30 pm, the Reis Magos move from ferry to Ayamonte to start the traditional rideat 15 pm.

Still in Castro Marim, but already on the 6th, the traditional Reis Magos cavalcade will take place, linking the village of Monte Francisco to Castro Marim.

This event recreates an old tradition of the village and determines the closure of the Presépio de Sal located in Casa do Sal, as well as the parish's Christmas celebrations.

It all starts at 16 pm, with a concentration in Monte Francisco. Departure is at 00:16 pm, with an estimated arrival time at 30:17 pm at Casa do Sal. There will be bolo-rei, bolo QUEEN and other delicacies.
