Prime Minister António Costa will be in the Algarve tomorrow, Friday, January 12, to participate in the Regional Council meeting, in Faro. to what the Sul Informação he learned, the program should also include a visit to the hospital in the Algarve capital.
António Costa begins his visit in the morning at the headquarters of the Regional Coordination and Development Commission, in Faro, participating in the meeting of the Regional Council, a consultative body of the CCDRA.
The head of government will be accompanied on his visit by Pedro Marques, Minister of Planning and Infrastructure, who oversees the CCDR, as well as by the Secretary of State for Development and Cohesion (Nelson de Souza).
Taking into account the work that has been done to transfer new powers to the Municipalities, as well as the Government's plans, already suggested before, to transform the current CCDR into bodies with broader powers, the participation of the Prime Minister in the first Regional Council meeting of the year is being looked forward to with some anticipation.
António Costa should also visit the hospital in Faro, which, in recent days, and like the vast majority of health units from North to South of the country, has been in the mouths of the world, due to lack of capacity of services and chaos in emergencies.

The Regional Council of the Algarve is a consultative body of the CCDRA, made up of 16 mayors of the Algarve, about two dozen social, economic, environmental and scientific organizations and representatives of regional services from various Ministries.
