Traffic, on the Almancil to Vale do Lobo connection, will be cut off from January 24th and for a period of 150 days. 

This cut follows the start of the contract “Connection of the Variant to the EN 396 to Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago – Section between the EM 527-2 and the VNC 522”.

The "complete cut of traffic aims to carry out the works of underground infrastructure and earthworks of the aforementioned undertaking, in order to safeguard the safety of users (residents, motorists, pedestrians and workers involved in the works)", says the Chamber of Loule.

Only during Carnival (10th to 13th February) and Easter (30th March to 1st April) there will be no restrictions on road traffic.

This contract consists of the redevelopment of the existing road, between Municipal Road (EM) 527-2 (Almancil – Quarteira road) and VNC 522 (Vale do Lobo – Quinta do Lago road) with approximately 2200 meters in length, in which they will be three roundabouts were built.

In terms of infrastructure, the work includes the execution of the rainwater sewerage network, expansion of the water supply and domestic sewage networks, telecommunications network, public lighting and low voltage networks.

The estimated value of the work is around 2,1 million euros.
