A fishing boat, carrying 56 bales of hash, weighing a total of about 1600 kilos, was intercepted at dawn today, south of Manta Rota, by the Southern Directorate of the Judiciary Police.
In the operation, which also involved the Air Force and the Coastal Control Unit of the GNR and the Maritime Police, two men, aged 53 and 22, were arrested.
The detainees will be presented to the judicial authorities for the application of coercive measures.
