Startup Portimão, located at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, already has nine incubated projects, seven physically and two virtually, just four months after its opening.
These are projects in different areas, namely, computer programming, development of software, mobile applications, street food, management consulting, information systems, renewable energies and design of jewelry.
In order to take stock of the months of activity, a meeting was held on November 30, which was attended by the various entities promoting the project, the members of the Advisory Board, the various partners, mentors of the incubator, and some of the already installed entrepreneurs.
Luís Matos Martins, manager of Creative Territories, guaranteed that the promoters of this incubator will “continue to implement the best that is done in the area of business development, entrepreneurship and investment attraction in Portimão”.
After presenting the results of the work carried out so far, the goals for the future were disclosed, based on the consolidation of the Startup Portimao, the focus on companies in the acceleration phase, the dynamization of investment attraction areas and the encouragement of young entrepreneurship, through training in schools in the region.
On the occasion, the mayor of Portimão once again reiterated that “the main objective of the project is to support all entrepreneurs and give them wings to be able to fly”.
Isilda Gomes thanked and highlighted the important role and added value of Startup Portimão's partnerships, fundamental for its success.

Directed to the theme of “smart cities”, in the areas of energy, mobility, tourism, governance and quality of life, Startup Portimão is integrated in the Portimão Business Center, and stands out for its infrastructure and location, right in the heart of the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, being promoted by the Municipality of Portimão, with the support of Creative Territories.
With just a few months of operation, the Portimão Municipality incubator is already part of the National Network of Incubators and is accredited by StartUp Portugal - the Government of the Republic's Entrepreneurship strategy, which aims to boost entrepreneurial capacity and foster conditions for acceleration and the success of new companies, supporting business development by contracting incubation services from previously accredited incubators.
