The conferences “Economia do Barlavento in Debate” (Potential, Problems, Solutions) will take place on February 24, at the Municipal Museum of Portimão.
Organized by the Algfuturo association, these days are intended to «contribute to giving a strong boost» to Barlavento, «taking advantage of the enormous existing potential, through a better business environment and job creation».
This is an initiative that comes "in fulfillment of the conclusions" of the Algfuturo congress, held in March, "which will now materialize in a joint organization with the Municipality of Portimão and collaboration with other municipalities and entities".
That is why “intensive work has been carried out in the field of preparation throughout the area, contacting various agents who have shown themselves very committed to participating”.
The program will have “debates, covering all economic sectors that have a great impact on society and business life, mobilizing more than fifty representative speakers, divided into the opening session, closing session and six more panels. The moderation will be the responsibility of professors from the University of Algarve».
In addition to the special collaboration of the Câmara de Portimão in the organization, other local authorities also collaborate, such as the Hotel and Tourism School of the University of Algarve and the Barlavento Development Agency.
Companies with different types of support were also associated with the initiative.
