The University of Algarve is participating in the largest international fair for postgraduate education in Colombia, which takes place from 18 to 22 November in the cities of Bogotá, Cali and Medellín, in that Latin American country.

“Expo Posgrados” is the main postgraduate event for Colombian students who intend to study in Europe.

This fair attracts more than 5 students per edition, who are looking in Europe for high quality training opportunities at the level of postgraduate courses, and who see in Portugal an alternative to specialize their knowledge in a quality university.

UAlg shares the “Universities Portugal” pavilion with other Portuguese universities and is represented by Marleni Azevedo, coordinator of the International Relations and Mobility Office (GRIM).

According to Marleni Azevedo, “students are looking for information about master's courses in various areas of study (Engineering, Science, Humanities) and also about doctorates in the areas of Science. They are also looking for information about the language, the cost of living, the study visa process, among other practical issues”.

The participation of UAlg is part of the project "Algarve is Our Campus – Study and Research in Algarve”, co-financed by the Algarve Regional Operational Program – CRESC Algarve 2020, through the Support System for Collective Actions – Internationalization, which aims to promote and strengthen the notoriety and attractiveness of the University of the Algarve and the Region, through the implementation of actions that they aim at internationalization and the consequent increase in the number of international students, teachers and researchers.

Recently, the UAlg was in China and Macau, within the scope of this same project.
