“The Twist Connection”, the Coimbra trio, presents its debut album, this Saturday, November 18th, at 22:30 pm, at the end of the Week of Sociedade Recreativa Artística Farense “Os Artistas”.

In this show, "there will also be some themes from the next album", scheduled to be released by the end of the first half of 2018, he told the Musical/Sul Informação, kalo, vocalist and drummer of the band.

“Stranded Downtown” came out on October 28th of last year and “the songs were gaining greater dimension, more body because they have been played for a number of time, which brings another filming among the musicians”. It is with this maturity that they will be presented to the Algarve public.

The trio performed for the first time on May 26, 2016 and emerged as a result of Kaló's restlessness (“Boredom Boys”, “Wray Gunn”, “Bunnyranch”, “Parkinsons”), who, being stopped at the time, challenged Samuel Silva ( “Jack Shits” and “Los Saguaros”) and Tiago Coelho, later replaced by Sérgio Cardoso (“É Mas Sice”, “Wray Gunn”), giving light and sound to some of the ideas I had in mind.

This is an album by rock n Roll - «it couldn't be otherwise» -, which were joined by more friends, as shown by the contributions of “A Jigsaw” or “Birds Are Indie”, having been made «on the path of other things and pulled with irons» , as revealed by the musician.

As for the reality and liveliness of the rock, Kaló assures that “it's very much alive! Curiosities may arise for other, simpler ways of being in music, we hear the “despacitos” all over the world… but there is always someone interested in seeing rock bands and keeping the rock n Roll very much alive!».

The night will then have a simple recipe: drums, bass and guitar bringing back the old school of rock 'n' roll of Coimbra.

Tickets cost 3 euros and can be purchased on site. Members of the Society do not pay. For reservations you can send a e-mail to [email protected].
