The Designer Outlet Algarve opened this Thursday, November 23, next to IKEA and Mar Shopping, in Loulé. This is a space that, «in addition to bringing something different», makes the region «stronger», according to its director Miguel Paraíso Guerreiro.

As soon as the opening ribbon was cut, dozens of people wanted to visit the new commercial space, whose architecture tries to recreate an Algarve village.

For Miguel Paraíso Guerreiro, this is «the moment to celebrate». "We are open and that is the most important thing," he said.

Still, the truth is, everything isn't quite ready yet. According to the director of the commercial space, they have now opened «more than 30 stores», but not all of the 64 planned for a first phase.

Stores like Timberland, Sacoor or Geox, for example, are still closed. Already Adidas, Ericeira or Seaside are working.

The inauguration of the new space had the right to the presence of public figures such as Cláudia Vieira, Jessica Athayde, Sara Salgado, Joana Duarte, Andreia Diniz, Andreia Rodrigues, Vanessa Martins, Diogo Amaral and Diogo Dias. And Designer Outlet visitors didn't hesitate to take pictures with many of them.

Resulting from a joint venture between IKEA Centers and the Mutschler Group, the new Designer Outlet Algarve is managed by the Austrian operator ROS Retail Outlet Shopping.

One of the goals of the new space, which opens after the opening of the IKEA store and Mar Shopping, is to have «a strong tourist component», according to Miguel Paraíso Guerreiro.

Whether you are a tourist or a resident, you can find discounts on products at the Designer Outlet, ranging from 30% to 70%, throughout the year.
