The Aquaspace video contest, on the theme “From aquaculture to my plate”, already has winners. The prizes will be handed out at 14 pm on November 30, in a ceremony that will take place at the Green Auditorium (building 30), on the University of Algarve's Campus de Gambelas.

The awardees are:
1st Place – Aquaculture in Portugal – Cândido Guerreiro Professional School (Alte, Loulé)
2nd Place - My life is a myth – Gil Eanes Professional School (Portimão)
3rd place in "Ex aequo"
– Unveiling the Mysteries of the Sea – Pinheiro e Rosa Secondary School (Faro)
– The adventures of a clam – Cândido Guerreiro Professional School (Alte, Loulé)

The winners will be awarded prizes, namely 300 euros for 1st place, 150 euros for 2nd place and 90 euros for 3rd place. All participants will receive a certificate.

The Marine Environmental Research Center (CIMA) of the University of Algarve (UAlg) and the company Sagremarisco Lda (SGM) had placed this challenge to secondary school students in the Algarve region, between 18 September and 31 October. The competition also had the collaboration of the Directorate-General for Schools, through the Algarve Region Services Department.

This activity was developed within the scope of the AquaSpace project, included in the Community Framework Program for Research & Innovation, Horizon 2020.
