Bruno Saraiva left the technical command of Olhanense, after an amicable termination between the coach and the Olhão team's SAD. The agreement was reached this Tuesday, November 14th.
According to a statement from the SAD of Olhanense, "at this time, the classification and sports performance are not in line with what was desired and planned."
This despite the fact that "at the beginning of the season" were "given all the conditions required by our former coach to assume the main position in the technical team of Olhanense, as well as all the support for the performance of their tasks according to reality of this championship'.
Bruno Saraiva, who was coach of Olhanense since the departure of Bruno Baltazar, last season, it has also already reacted to this decision. « Because I feel this club in a special way, I think the time has come to leave. It was an honor and a pride to be able to serve, once again, the club where I played for nearly two decades», he said, in a publication, in Facebook.
«Following the path of the last four years, and from the perspective of what lies ahead, I do not intend to dwell on many considerations about the current state of Olhanense. I will not contribute in a gratuitous and unnecessary way to destabilize the working group”, he added.
According to the former coach of Olhanense, «the exit is not directly associated with the last defeat», against rival Farense by 4-1. But that was "the icing on a very sour cake, following a black week, preceded by less good ones, and always in the same negative line".
«Nobody always gets it right. Therefore, I assume the responsibilities inherent to the position I occupy and leave, wishing Sporting Clube Olhanense every sporting success», he considered.
The SAD do Olhanense says, in turn, it believes "in the potential of this group and in everything it can, and should, achieve."
“We know that we have to work fast to get back on our way and fulfill the objectives of all people from Olho”, concludes the statement.
The emblem of Olhão currently occupies 4th place in the E series of the Portuguese Championship.
