Vítor Aleixo, president of the Loulé City Council, sworn in last Monday, has already assigned the functions to his councilors, in what was the first council meeting of the present term, held on Friday.
Thus, the mayor elected for another four years of municipal management will be in charge of the areas of Culture, Libraries and Archives, Public Relations, Institutional Relations, Sports, Housing, Security, Sustainability and Adaptation to Climate Change.
Pedro Pimpão, appointed vice-president of the municipality, is responsible for Finance and Heritage, Administrative Decentralization, Technologies and Systems Administration, Tourism and Local Economy, Tariffs and Tax Enforcements, Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Local Business Sector.
Urban Planning and Management, Legal and Litigation, Inspection and Administrative Offenses, Toponymy, Municipal Simplex and Economic Activities will be areas of responsibility of Heloísa Madeira.
Abílio de Sousa will be the councilor with responsibilities in the areas of Municipal Works, Buildings and Equipment, Basic Sanitation and Road Network, Traffic, Municipal Workshops, Participatory Budgeting, Veterinary Service and Interior Development.
The areas of Education, Health and Social Cohesion, CPCJ, Youth and Educating Cities were assigned to Ana Machado, councilor for the second consecutive term.
Carlos Carmo will be responsible for Events and Communication, Civil Protection, Transport, Sociocultural Associations, Firefighters, Urban Hygiene and Health, Environment and Public Space.
Finally, Vítor Aleixo assigned Marilyn Zacarias responsibilities in the areas of Consumer Protection, Internal Audit, Prevention of Corruption Risks, People Management, Health and Safety at Work and Management of Support for the Municipality.
All councilors who accompany Vítor Aleixo in the executive will hold the position full-time.
The mayor appointed Luís Monteiro as Head of the President's Support Office, while Telmo Pinto will be Deputy to the President.
From the 25th of October, the Chamber meetings will take place every fortnight, on Wednesdays, from 14:30 pm, in the Salão Nobre of the Paços do Concelho, and will be open to the public, who will have the opportunity to intervene in two moments of the session.
