Nurse Carlos Pinto, who graduated from Instituto Piaget de Silves, will give a lecture on October 27, at 11:00 am, in the auditorium of Piaget de Silves, in which he recalls the moments he spent in the London attack on June 3 this year.

In the lecture “Emergency: how to act?”, Carlos Pinto will then address the experiences of that attack, talking about his professional practice in situations of stress and crisis.

Carlos Pinto currently works in the intensive care unit of a private hospital in central London.

"On June 3 this year, during an attack in London, he stood out for his courage in assisting one of the victims and in the resistance he revealed", says Piaget de Silves.

Speaking to Jornal de Notícias, Carlos Pinto said that he saw a "dark-skinned man with a black beard screaming and preventing people from leaving the restaurant."

He doesn't remember much, however, "people's reaction was to throw chairs and glasses at the attacker, who retreated a meter or two and the restaurant managed to close the gate." He and a friend provided first aid to a young woman who "had a deep wound in her chest and lost about half a liter of blood."

Admission is free.
