The São Martinho Fair, with plenty, nuts, popcorn, bumper cars and carousels mixed in, will once again animate, from 3 to 12 November, the Fair and Exhibition Park of Portimão. 

This will already be the 355th edition of the event, the oldest popular event held in Portimão and dating back to 1662.

In what is one of the «must-haves of autumn entertainment in the county», there will be no lack of traditional «roasted chestnuts, bread with chorizo ​​and other tempting snacks in the bars and taverns on the premises, as well as various entertainment spaces with various games, bumper cars and carousels, in a fair that promises to delight children and adults», says the Portimão Chamber.

This year's edition will once again feature two themed days – November 8th and 12th – jointly chosen by exhibitors and the organization, with the aim of applying special prices on entertainment. The 8th is for children and young people (youth day), while the last day of the fair is dedicated to the family.

In the interior of Portimão Arena, during this same period, between 15 pm and midnight on Friday and Saturday, and between 00 pm and 24 pm, from Sunday to Thursday, there will be a car exhibition organized by the Audi brands, Citroën, Dacia, Fiat, Professional Fiat, Ford, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen, and Yamaha motorcycles.

On the first day, November 3rd, the São Martinho Fair can be visited from 16:00 pm to 1:00 am, while on November 4th it will be open from 10:00 am to 1:00 am.

Between the 5th and 9th of November it will open from 10:00 am to 24:00 am and on the 10th and 11th of November it will be open from 10:00 am to 1:00 am. On the last day, the Fair will be open from 10:00 am to 23:00 pm.

In terms of access to the event, the south entrance to the Fairs and Exhibitions Park is open, through the riverside area of ​​Portimão, next to the railway bridge, in an area where there are several parking spaces, and the usual north entrance, for who come from Largo Gil Eanes or from Cardosas.

Another way to get to Feira de São Martinho will be via the “Vai e Vem” urban transport network, which has stops at Cardosas, Parque de Feiras e Exposições and Largo do Dique. here

Due to the assembly and disassembly work of the fair, and for the safety of exhibitors and visitors, residents who usually travel on foot or by bicycle through the Parque de Feiras e Exposições de Portimão, to connect to the riverside area of ​​the city, are informed. that until November 2, the passage is completely prohibited.

During the period in which the Fair will take place, it will be passable but subject to the opening hours of the fair, and its passage will once again be prohibited between 13 and 16 November.

Also in November there will be no place for the monthly market, which will return on December 4th, nor the flea market, whose frequency will then resume on December 3rd and 17th.
