More than 30 Algarve companies from different sectors, based in low-density territories, had the opportunity to meet and carry out exploratory contacts with international consultants between the 9th and 11th of October, within the scope of the “Internacionalizar + Algarve” project.
This initiative, promoted in partnership by NERA – Business Association of the Algarve Region and by CRIA – Division of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer of the University of Algarve, aims to help companies from the region's most disadvantaged territories to internationalize.
The more than one hundred meetings and exploratory contacts that took place on the 9th and 10th of October, at NERA (Loulé) and on the 11th at the Vila do Bispo Chamber, were attended by companies linked to the sectors of Tourism and Leisure, Sea and Agrifood, from the low-density territories in the Algarve.
On the other side were international consultants from the four target markets defined in the scope of this project, namely, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Sweden.
«This activity also allowed the preparation of visits to the Algarve, scheduled for next November, by international prospectors from the four target markets, as well as the realization of laboratories to accelerate internationalization projects», according to NERA.
Between the 7th and 9th of November, the scheduled visits involve companies linked to the tourism, leisure and sea sector. From the 21st to the 23rd of November, the hosts of the visits will be companies linked to the agri-food sector.
According to NERA, “Internacionalizar + Algarve” «aimed at boosting the success of the internationalization of SMEs located in the low-density territories of the region, especially in the tourism and leisure, sea and agri-food sectors, seeking to strengthen the international awareness of the Algarve brand. ».
Companies from low-density territories in the Algarve that are interested in participating in the next activities of this project can still apply, through the project website or by contacting NERA or the University of Algarve.
